| The Edmonton Journal ran an article in the last two weeks stating that Alberta employers are more dissatisfied with the quality of high school graduates today than they were in December 2005. Employers cited concerns with the work ethic, literacy and math skills of our province's youth. How do you see the proposed model of distributed learning addressing these issues? Does success in school, or passing marks on standardized tests or diploma exams provide an indicator for success in life? Can the distributed learning model address these issues without the involvement of family and life experiences. How would you change the distributed learning model to ensure that a student is prepared for life, with all of its challenges?
